Kari was born in Walnut Creek and grew up living in Lafayette, CA with her parents and two younger sisters. Kari started her interest in children's entertainment young, performing her first magic show at the age of 8 and organizing her first birthday clown performance for her sister's birthday at the age of 10. Her interest in entertaining broadened to dance and cheerleading during high school, where she started her 8 years of experience of cheerleading, including 7 years as captain and 3 years as a cheerleading coach for squads ranging from elementary school to college. From there, Kari chased even bigger dreams by moving from the Bay Area to Orlando, Florida for an internship with Disney World! She worked there for two years before deciding to transfer to Disneyland in Anaheim, CA to be closer to home. She spent another two years at Disneyland where she worked her way up to a leadership position, as well as three years at a professional children's birthday party company before deciding it was time to move back to her true home, the Bay Area. Kari first opened and ran Kari's Magic Parties in 2009 but closed after a year when she was offered a position as a children's performer with Disney Cruise Line. Kari spent a year living and working on the Disney Wonder performering for groups as small as 5 and as large as 2,000 in over 30 different shows per week. Now she's back to a life on land and has permanently re-opened Kari's Magic Parties for business! In addition to running Kari's Magic Parties, she also coaches youth Hip Hop and Cheerleading around Contra Costa County for Fit Kids America, and is applying to volunteer for the Make A Wish Foundation. She LOVES to volunteer and it's her dream to someday open her own animal shelter. Her friend Tiffany has dedicated her life to this and is director of Umbrella of Hope, an animal rescue. Kari now lives in Walnut Creek with her 6 cats and 2 bunnies (all rescues of course!) Kari spends her free time reading, writing, tending to her pets, spending time with her family, and playing in Disneyland.
